I heard such an example by Martynas Levickis performing a Scarlatti Sonata last summer at the Galla-Rini competition in Santa Clara, and my first thoughts were, here is someone who walks among the angels. And the accordion gives him his wings. If I remember one thing about the two days of adjudicating that competition, it will be that performance.”
